How should I store the chemicals I receive?
Storage requirements vary by product and are stated in detail in the SDS provided with every shipment. General principles apply across most products: store in original sealed containers, away from incompatible materials, heat sources, direct sunlight, and sources of ignition where relevant. For specific product categories, additional storage requirements apply as follows.
Organic peroxides and azo compounds such as DCP, benzoyl peroxide, and AIBN require temperature-controlled refrigerated storage within manufacturer-specified limits. Failure to store these products correctly creates a serious safety risk. Confirm temperature-controlled storage capability before ordering these products.
Terpene alcohols and oxidation-sensitive fragrance ingredients including linalool, geraniol, and citronellol require sealed storage under nitrogen or inert gas blanket to prevent oxidative degradation and allergen formation from hydroperoxide development.
Hygroscopic materials including calcium chloride, sodium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide must be stored in sealed, moisture-proof containers away from humidity.
Flammable liquids including solvents, glacial acetic acid, and selected fragrance ingredients must be stored in accordance with local fire safety regulations for flammable liquid storage, away from ignition sources and in ventilated, appropriately classified storage areas.
Cyanide compounds and highly toxic materials require segregated, secured storage with restricted access, appropriate containment, and emergency response provisions in place at the storage location.

What PPE is required when handling your products?
PPE requirements vary by product and are specified in the relevant SDS. At minimum, chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection are required when handling most products in our catalog. For specific product categories, additional PPE is required. Primary aromatic amines including aniline and phenylenediamines require chemical-resistant gloves, full eye and face protection, and respiratory protection due to skin absorption and dust inhalation risks. Concentrated acids and alkalis require chemical-resistant gloves, full face shield, chemical-resistant apron, and appropriate footwear. Organic peroxides and thermally sensitive compounds require handling procedures that minimize friction, shock, and heat exposure in addition to standard PPE. Toxic and acutely hazardous materials require PPE appropriate to the specific hazard route — ingestion, inhalation, or skin absorption — as specified in the SDS. Always refer to the product SDS before handling any chemical product for the first time.
What should I do in the event of a spill or exposure?
Refer to Section 4 (First Aid) and Section 6 (Accidental Release) of the product SDS for specific emergency procedures. Ensure relevant SDS documents are accessible at your storage and handling location before products arrive. For products with serious acute toxicity risks — cyanide compounds, primary aromatic amines, concentrated acids — ensure your team is trained in emergency response procedures and that appropriate first aid equipment and emergency contact numbers are available at the handling location. In the event of a serious exposure or spill involving a highly toxic material, contact emergency services immediately.
Can products be repackaged or transferred to different containers?
Repackaging of dangerous goods is subject to UN packaging regulations and must only be performed by personnel trained and authorized for dangerous goods handling. Products must not be transferred to unlabeled or incorrectly labeled containers. Original manufacturer packaging and labeling should be retained where possible. If you need to transfer product to a different container for process use, ensure the receiving container is chemically compatible, clean, and appropriately labeled with the product name, hazard warnings, and relevant safety information.
