Potassium Dicyanoaurate(I) — CAS 13967-50-5

Potassium Dicyanoaurate(I), CAS 13967-50-5, also known as Potassium Gold Cyanide or Gold(I) Potassium Cyanide, is a water-soluble inorganic gold compound used primarily as a gold precursor and electrolyte in gold electroplating and specialized precious-metal processing. It is also used in the preparation of other gold compounds and in selected electrochemical and materials-research applications.

Applications: Gold Electroplating • Precious-Metal Processing • Gold Compound Manufacturing • Electronics • Electrochemical Applications • Materials Research • Specialty Chemical Processing

Key Applications

Potassium Dicyanoaurate(I) is widely used as an electrolyte for gold electrodeposition, including gold coatings on substrates, thin films and electrodes. It is also used as a precursor for other gold compounds and in specialized electrochemical/materials applications.

Storage & Handling

This is a highly toxic cyanide-containing compound. Commercial safety classifications include severe acute toxicity and serious aquatic hazards; handling, storage, transport and disposal must follow the current SDS and applicable dangerous-goods requirements.

Specification Note

For the UAB An Group Export website, I recommend not publishing a fixed purity or gold percentage as your own specification until the actual supplier CoA is available. Commercial specifications differ by grade—for example, current listings include 98%, 99.95% trace-metals-basis and approximately 67.6% minimum Au specifications.
