Key Applications

Isobutanol is used as a solvent for surface coatings, adhesives, lacquers and paint-removal formulations, and as a processing solvent in pharmaceutical, pesticide, flavor and fragrance manufacturing. It is also used as a chemical intermediate for producing compounds such as isobutyl acetate and acrylate/methacrylate esters.
