Key Applications
Zinc Chloride is used in soldering and metallurgical fluxes, metal treatment, chemical synthesis, textile processing and specialty industrial formulations. It is also used as a Lewis-acid reagent and catalyst in selected chemical processes.
Specification
Commercial grades vary by application. Current supplier listings include ACS grades around 97% minimum and high-purity material around 99.95% metals basis. The actual UAB An Group Export specification should be confirmed by the applicable supplier CoA rather than presenting one purity as universal.
Storage & Handling
Zinc Chloride is hygroscopic and corrosive and should be protected from moisture and handled according to the current SDS for the exact grade supplied. Zinc chloride solutions are also corrosive and can cause burns to skin and eyes.
